Memorial Day is over, so the unofficial start to summer has officially begun!

Here at Sumo Bonnets, we wanted to start compiling and sharing some of the great haircare tips we've found across the internet from ours (and hopefully your) favorite bloggers, influencers, and haircare websites.

Looking for a gel that won’t flake or mousse that isn’t crunchy? Self magazine has a roundup of popular natural hair bloggers sharing their favorite products to avoid both.

Ready to transition to a wash and go as the summer heats up? Tips from Refinery 29 on how to style wet curls without damaging them

Think you’ve found every possible use for coconut oil and then some? How about applying it to mosquito bites? Or as a makeup remover? More ideas from the Today show.

Did you know that protective styles can also be damaging? They can, without special care and attention to your scalp and hair (wish I had read this before removing my braids recently- pretty sure those handfuls of hair I threw away were completely unnecessary). How to avoid the same fate.

Any healthy hair tips you’d like to share for the summer? Comment below!

Due to my work, I have to travel a lot. This affects my hair badly. I always try to hide my hair from dust, sunlight. But somehow it damages my hair. I will try to follow these tips in the future.

Thanks for this article. Don’t expose your hair to to the harsh weather. Put on hats with brim for protection.
